We're Charlie and Yaiza, a couple in life and passion, based in Gran Canaria. Akari Weddings was born from our shared love for cinema and the desire to tell real love stories through our lenses. Your wedding is an important moment in your life, and we truly appreciate you considering us to document it.
We were born the same year and grew up on different islands, with very different backgrounds and personalities. That contrast is what gives our work balance. One of us works more instinctively, the other more structurally. Together, we see eye to eye.
How We Work
Before we pick up a camera, we want to understand your story. We meet for coffee in Triana, hop on a video call, or just exchange voice notes — whatever feels natural. We ask about how you met, what makes you laugh, and what the day really means to you.
As locals, we can also help with venue logistics, recommend trusted vendors on the island, and suggest the best times of day for natural light at your chosen location.

The morning nerves, the glances across the room, the speeches that make everyone cry. We film the moments you'll want to relive — not a highlight reel, but the real texture of your day.

Our packages start from a half-day coverage option and scale depending on the hours and deliverables you need. Since we're based on the island, there are no travel surcharges for weddings in Gran Canaria. Get in touch for a personalised quote.
How long does it take to receive our wedding film?
We limit the number of weddings we take on each year so we can give every couple the attention they deserve. Because of that, delivery usually takes around 4 to 6 months. Every film is carefully crafted — we don't rush the process.
Do you film at outdoor venues in Gran Canaria?
Absolutely — outdoor weddings are some of our favourite to film. From beachfront ceremonies in Maspalomas to fincas in the mountains above Arucas, we know how to work with natural light and the island's diverse landscapes.
Can you also travel outside Gran Canaria for weddings?
